Getting started with the Service App

Below, you can see an overview of the service app, so you are can familiarize yourself!

Main screen

Once successfully logged into the service application, you will be shown the below screen:

1. Search bar

The search bar appears on top of the main screen when opening the Service application. You can search for any vehicle in your environment and the map will update while typing. Here you will also find the Filter option (2) that allows you to more accurately find the vehicles you are searching for

2. Filter

As previously mentioned, filters help you narrow down your search by allowing the selection of a particular branch, vehicle category, or many other parameters.

3. Center to “my location”

This button centers the map to the current GPS location of your smartphone.

4. Map type

The map shows vehicles in the map around the user. 

Rotating the map with both fingers will change the orientation, and clicking on the compass icon will reset it to default.

To show your own position, click on the Locate button on the right side of the screen.

There are three different map types that can be applied to the map view in the Service App, by clicking on the Burger-Menu button 

  1. Default view
  2. Satellite view
  3. 3D view

Using the search in the top of the page will compare the text provided to the following vehicle properties that have to be filled via the dashboard here:

  • Code,
  • License plate,
  • Address,
  • VIN (vehicle identification number)

5. Profile

The profile allows a user to

  • see details of the logged-in user such as
    • user ID
    • name
    • email address
  • directly raise a ticket at goUrban via the Service App 
  • link to the Privacy policy
  • link to the Terms & Conditions
  • sign out of the Service App
  • show the app version of the Service App

6. QR - code button

When pressing the QR-code button, you will be taken to a menu where you can select to either scan or type in the QR code of a vehicle. It is also possible to switch the flashlight of your smartphone on when trying to scan a vehicle.

Note: If you need to change the number of digits of the QR code, you need to make that change in 'Settings/ App Settings/ General' under the 'Number of characters' field. 

Other settings

GPS location

You will see the default GPS location of the selected branch.

Map zoom level

The map zoom level can be adjusted via the dashboard here.
