T&C (Terms & Conditions)

This tab will only be visible when selecting a billable branch.

It is only possible to change the terms and conditions links on a billable branch, due to security reasons. It is possible to set different T&Cs for every branch (e.g. you create a branch for a specific municipality within the billable branch, where different T&Cs apply). This can only be changed by the goUrban team. Please reach out to support@gourban.co.

How?

The T&C follow a hierarchical rule, meaning that the T&Cs for the parent branch is valid for all children branches if they do not have T&Cs configured. Child branches prioritize their own T&Cs over their parent branches.

The dashboard displays them as follows:

  • privacyGuidelinesText → Privacy guidelines Text
  • termsAndConditionsText → Terms and conditions Text
  • privacyGuidelinesUrl → Privacy guidelines URL
  • termsAndConditionsUrl → Terms and conditions URL

Note: the “Privacy guidelines Text” and “Terms and conditions Text” is just the text displayed in the app where the user can click to be redirected to the respective URL. See the picture below for reference:

To change the other texts on these screens (ex. “I accept the”) please use Localization in the dashboard.

Prompt users to accept T&C again

If there is a change to the T&Cs and you want to trigger the users to accept the T&C again, you need to remove the current T&C link and add a new one.

Important: Just changing the URLs will not trigger the “Accept new T&Cs” dialogue for the users. You have to click on “Remove terms and conditions” and then add new ones in order to change them. The change will be visible to the end users on their next rental attempt and the end users would not be able to proceed without accepting the new T&C.
