Operators can assign a percentage discount to a vehicle based on the vehicle category, branch, tags, or labels.
If you have vehicles that for example, have had no movement for over 48 hours, you can assign a promotion to them so the users will choose to use these vehicles and keep them moving.
How to create a Vehicle Promotion?
- Go to your billable branch
- Go to Settings / Vouchers
- Click Create voucher under the Vehicle Promotion tab
- Assign a name
- Assign an Applicable type
- Assign a discount
- Select a branch (optional)
- Select a vehicle category (optional)
- Click Create Voucher
After the voucher is created, please select it to open Quick View. In the Quickview, you will be able to see the information and also Activate it.
You can also click on the Advanced tab in order to include or exclude labels and include or exclude tags.

ID
Internal ID number.
Name
Name of the promotion
Type
It will always show as Vehicle Promotion.
Applicable type
There are five applicable types, meaning when the promotion will be triggered:
1. Rental is started - this promotion will be applied if the conditions are met when starting a rental
2. Rental is ended - this promotion will be applied if the conditions are met when ending a rental
3. Rental is started and ended - this promotion will be applied if the conditions are met when starting and ending a rental
4. Rental is started or ended - this promotion will be applied if the conditions are met when starting or ending a rental
5. Rental is started plus ended - this promotion will be applied if the conditions are met when starting or ending a rental. In this scenario, if both are true, the promotion will trigger twice
Discount
Select from the drop-down menu the percentage discount for the promotion.
Branches
Limit the branches to which this vehicle promotion will apply. Leave it blank to apply for all child branches of the billable branch.
Vehicle Categories
Limit the vehicle categories for which this promotion will apply.
Advanced tab
Here you are able to include/exclude tags or labels that will determine if the promotion will be applied.
